Canada's virtual town hall company since 2016.
Our inception started with a simple fundamental belief: people affected by decisions that impact their daily lives deserve more than a press release. They deserve the opportunity to hear the truth directly, from the source — and for the source to hear the truth directly from them.
Shortly after, our idea was shaped and validated in the crucible of the 2016 Fort McMurray Wildfires. Since then, everything we've built has been in service of that belief. Our mission is simple: We give you a voice.
We help organizations create direct, trusted, and meaningful conversations with the people they serve. We believe better decisions happen when people have a seat at the table and organizations making those decisions clearly share the truth, the context, and the vision behind them — without filters or distortion. Our guiding principle is: The truth, spoken and heard.
Converso combines powerful engagement technology with experienced service — because great technology is only as good as the people behind it. By removing barriers to participation and helping organizations communicate directly with the people they serve, we help build stronger communities, more trusted organizations, and better outcomes.
A managed service. A Canadian team. A proven track record.
Converso is Canada's leading fully managed telephone town hall and community engagement company. We are not a software platform you license and figure out yourself. We are a team of experienced communications and engagement professionals who staff every event from planning through post-event debrief.
Our clients include the Government of Alberta, the City of Toronto, the Ontario Medical Association, AUPE, UFCW Canada, Vancouver Coastal Health, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, and dozens more across every sector and every province.
We are explicitly non-partisan. We serve governments of all political stripes, unions of all affiliations, and communities of all backgrounds with the same rigour and professionalism. The only side we're on is the side of meaningful, two-way communication.
10 years. 600+ events. Millions of truths heard.
The people behind every event.
We bring more than 90 years of combined experience in customer service, communications, government relations, crisis management, and civic engagement. We don't sit on the sidelines — we are hands-on every day, giving us a real understanding of what works in practice, what clients need under pressure, and how to deliver service people can trust. That experience keeps us connected to what matters most: what communities need, what clients expect, and what makes engagement successful. It's why our technology works, why our service stands out, and why organizations trust Converso when the conversation matters most. We live and breathe this work because giving our clients and their communities a voice isn't just our business — it's our mission.

With Converso since 2017, Vieri has helped lead some of Converso's largest and most complex client engagements, including Annual Budget town halls, post-budget consultations, and emergency response initiatives.
With more than 30 years of experience in business, customer service, government relations, and stakeholder engagement, Vieri brings a relationship-first approach to every project. His experience navigating complex institutional environments and understanding client needs makes him a trusted advisor to government, public sector, and organizational leaders who require more than just an event — they require confidence, judgment, and a partner they can rely on.

With Converso since 2019. Christine brings 15 years of experience in communications, politics, and civic engagement. Her institutional knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal government operations is especially valuable for public sector and healthcare clients who need an engagement partner who already speaks their language. Bachelor of Arts, University of Guelph.
Built in the field, not in a boardroom.
Every capability Converso has was developed in response to a real client need, under real-world conditions. Here's how the company grew.
Converso founded
Carl Mavromichalis founds Converso with a focus on telephone-based civic engagement for governments and public institutions. First telephone town halls delivered for Canadian public sector clients.
Fort McMurray wildfire — 17 events in 30 days
The largest wildfire evacuation in Canadian history. Converso deploys within days of the evacuation order, producing 17 emergency telephone town halls in 30 consecutive days — reaching 58,000 displaced residents. Works directly with the Premier, Deputy-Premier, Minister of Municipal Affairs, and the Public Affairs Bureau. Also begins the Government of Alberta Annual Budget town hall series, which runs annually through 2024.

COVID-19 emergency - 40+ events
Converso produces 40 COVID-19 emergency town halls for the Government of Alberta (March–July 2020), 8 events for Alberta Emergency Management Agency, a 100,000-resident session for the Region of Durham, 5 COVID town halls for the City of Mississauga, and 26 flood recovery events for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo — all in the same year.
Healthcare and union sectors expand
Vancouver Coastal Health begins its ongoing Open Board Forum series. Major Canadian unions including AUPE, UFCW, PSAC, and SEIU West become regular clients. The Ontario Medical Association's "Stop the Crisis" public advocacy campaign reaches 300,000 community members across 10 telephone town halls.
600+ events and growing
Converso passes 600 telephone town halls delivered. Active pipeline includes OPSEU conventions, multiple UFCW locals, Alberta Federation of Labour, Unifor National, UBCM, and government clients from coast to coast. The City of Toronto 2025 Budget Consultation achieves a 36.15% participation rate — among the highest ever recorded for a large-scale telephone engagement event.
