Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo: Fort McMurray Emergency Response

When the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire forced mass evacuations, the RMWB turned to Converso for daily multi-agency town halls. For 17 consecutive days during active emergency, Converso ran live, two-way briefings — connecting displaced residents with the Premier, Deputy-Premier, Minister of Municipal Affairs, the Public Affairs Bureau, and utility providers simultaneously.

Four years later, when floods struck the region in 2020, the RMWB called Converso again — running 26 events from May through September, engaging 40,000 citizens through the crisis.
